Star Fox (Switch 2) Multiplayer

Beyond the campaign, Star Fox on Switch 2 adds a real multiplayer suite — a competitive Battle Mode plus co-op, with the console's new social features baked in.

The modes

The competitive Battle Mode pits the Star Fox team against Star Wolf in arena combat — fly, score hits, and out-maneuver the other squad.

Switch 2 social features

• GameShare: invite friends who don't own the game — including cross-console between Switch 2 and Switch — so they can join from one copy.
• GameChat: built-in voice chat with Star Fox team avatar filters.
• Online & local: play over the internet or in the same room.

Tips for winning

• The barrel roll deflects rival lasers in Versus too — abuse it.
• Charged shots punish anyone flying straight.
• Use Joy-Con 2 mouse aiming to snap onto opponents — see controls.
• Control the power-ups that spawn on the map and keep moving.
